Fixed Supply vs Elastic Supply
A fixed supply token has a hard issuance ceiling from the start. An elastic supply token can continue issuing under defined rules until a later cap is set. Those are not just technical choices. They create different fundraising realities for founders and holders.
Fixed supply offers clarity up front, but it can constrain future rounds. Elastic supply offers more fundraising flexibility, but it needs stronger structural safeguards so future issuance does not become chaotic.
Mammoth supports thinking about token issuance as a capital system. That means the supply model should match the founder’s actual strategy, not just launch-day optics.
